We stayed at Soulitude in the Himalayas for 3 nights. After an initial hiccup with our room, Bhanuji – the manager was quick to respond and change our room.

After this, it was a very smooth and comfortable stay here. The rooms are nicely done up, makes you feel at home. They’re spacious and have common decks with great views of the valley. Unfortunately at this time of the year you may not see the Himalayan range but we managed to get a glimpse of just the top peaks on our last day.

The staff is prompt and helpful and always available for all your needs. I must give a big thank you to the two team members [i forgot their names] who served us meals and also took care of the housekeeping. Very warm and friendly.

The property also has a good tie up with local cab vendors. They will help you arrange for local sightseeing. We had taken the cab from Madhusudan. Apart from being a good driver he also took us to some lesser crowded and lesser commercials places.

They have a buffet for lunch and dinner, the menu for the same are shared with you in advance so you can give your feedback as well. You may also order a la carte snacks menu in case you want to have a small bite. The food is good.

In the evenings they have a bonfire set and guests can sit out in the open and have their meals. They don’t have an operational bar so guests can carry their own alcohol. Kindly get your alcohol from your destination as getting alcohol around is difficult and getting the brand that you may like will be a bigger challenge.

Bhanuji is also very helpful with guiding you about the places to visit. Each day he gave us a hand drawn map of the places we were planning to visit – Nainital / Sattal and around. It was very helpful. He also recommended places to shop / eat.

Soulitude is a great option for people who would like a have a comfortable vacation with great service and good food. It’s located centrally so you can keep this as your base and visit Nainital, Bhimtal, Sattal, Naukuchiyatal and probably even Mukteshwar.

I would recommend staying at least 3 nights here to cover the above places. All in all a great location and a comfortable stay.
